Ozone Therapy
Ozone therapy is an alternative medical treatment that introduces ozone to the body. Ozone therapy is introduction of ozone into the body via intravenously (directly into veins). Ozone can also be introduced via Autohemotherapy, in which blood is drawn from the patient, exposed to ozone and re-injected into the patient.
At DHTC Ozone therapy is used for administering ozone gas into the body to treat a disease or wound. Ozone therapy increases the oxygen supply in the blood. Other physiological effects are boosting the immune system, speeding up metabolism, increasing oxygen supply in the cell, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.
It may also be used for disinfection and to treat a range of diseases, including osteoarthritis, herniated disk, chronic wounds, hepatitis B and C, herpes zoster, HIV-AIDS, multiple sclerosis, cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s dementia, and Lyme disease could benefit through Ozone therapy.
There is ongoing research about effectiveness and safety. The frequency of the ozone sessions and the ozone concentration depends on each individual case. Hence Ozone therapy has to be prescribed by a physician only.

Asked Questions

Ozone therapy has many clinical applications and a number of ways to administer it, depending on the health condition to be addressed. For musculoskeletal conditions, ozone may be injected into ligaments, tendons, joint capsules, and joint spaces, alone or in combination with prolotherapy. For the majority of other conditions, auto-therapy is the most common method for administering ozone. Autohemotherapy is used in the treatment of a variety of health conditions including allergies, chronic inflammation, chronic infections, cardiovascular conditions, and more.
You don’t need to be sick in the normal sense to use ozone. It is actually best to use it as a preventative measure. Because we are all literally oxygen starved, the average person never really gets enough oxygen to properly saturate their healthy cells and to rid the body of toxins. Therefore it is wise in today’s world, to maintain a healthy level of oxygenation and to rid the body of pools of waste which could otherwise lead to cancer or other degenerative disease.
This is an important question, it is fine to give most vitamins and minerals along with ozone therapy with the exception of the antioxidants, such as vitamin C, E, beta carotene and selenium. If given simultaneously with ozone, they block the benefits of ozone since one of the benefits of ozone therapy’s work is to oxidize toxins. In other words, ozone and antioxidants are opposites and effectively neutralize each other. Essentially, you only need to avoid antioxidants on the same day you receive ozone therapy.
It is good to accompany ozone therapy with a special detoxification diet. Foods should be selected that are low in sugar, salt, and denatured oils. Also, a balance of proper proteins, carbohydrates and minerals should be present along with fiber to clean out the bowels. Plenty of raw food such as fresh salads and fruit provide a natural source of H2O2 to help further oxygenate the body. Also, avoid all anti-oxidants during the days that you receive ozone.
